We're now in the middle of the last ***************BREAK***************** of the evening so I thought I'd share with you the secret to Junglecat's success.  You know, it's a tough job commentating on other people's play - and something tells me that he's qualified to do so through many long internet-hours.  Recently, he tells me, the $10 rebuys have been falling at his feet, and what the virtual trophies don't add to his playboy lifestyle, the $$$ do.

Bling, man.

I hear he also has a Jagwar.  Show of hands - who's impressed?  Come on, feel free to Interact!

Can you say 'multiway'?

I think when the smoke cleared at the end of this frankly ridiculous hand the exiter was Stuart Hopkin, but I only got there towards the end as an excitable Tikay came to let us know that six limpers had all called a preflop raise to 400... The raiser was presumably Nathan Ticehurst, who, with was one of the two players to get his stack in on a Two Clubs flop.  The other was Hopkin, whose had done fairly well out of the first three cards.
Turn:
River:  two spades  (and while I originally thought Hopkin held Fives and was surprised to see the pot going to Ticehurst) ..."Got there in the end," he said, somewhat apologetically, with the shrug of someone counting their nice new stack regardless.

I was surprised, it was that horrible moment when you realise that the two pairing means your going home! Tell evilpie he is stack is embarrassingly small! Well done u two and good night!

Fran Creed is OUT - having dropped to 6,375, she found a reasonable shove spot in the big blind with - but this was after Kevin Pearce and Tom Cairns had shown interest to the tune of a raise to 2,600 from Kevin and a small blind Tom call.  Both players then called her all-in; she put on her coat.
They quickly checked all the way down until the board read:  at which Fran's Tens were flipped, and both of the others kind of froze momentarily, before Tom Cairns showed some disappointing Jacks to knock her out.

Karabiner plays hand!

Of course, I miss it, and get there to see him stacking up his new 17k stack.

Alan Stokes tries to order tea off me!

He waves me over, as often happens, and I say, "I think you want her, I am afraid," nodding towards the valet currently taking an order from someone else at the table.
"You're as good looking as she is, and she's busy.  I've got a big order."    Shocked
Clearly not one to be put off ordering food from anyone female, he had clearly taken hold of the wrong end of the stick.  Not one to turn down a tip, I handed him a menu, before backing slowly off, at which point the valet was ready to help him out.

Rob Allen Made to Sweat for Double up!

Neil Giblin performed the dwell of the tournament after calling an early position raise to something like 1,800 and then finding Rob Allen behind him moving in for 4,800 total.  The original raiser passed, but he took a long time to make the call with what turned out to be , in bad shape against Allen's .  No outdraw, and a relieved-looking Allen was saved from the felt precipice.

Sick Kular

Sarbjit Kular and Matt Russell just tangled in uncompromising fashion for a monster pot. Kular made it 3k or so UTG, only to find Russell shipping it in for his entire 17k stack over the top from UTG+1.

It was a big call that required a big hand to make but Sarbjit was in no mood to back off calling the bulk of his stack off with pocket Queens and when Matt flipped his cards it transpired he held a slim advantage over Russell's A-K.

This advantage rapidly dissipated though as a King spiked to leave Sarbjit clutching at a two-outer shaped straw, but the rest of the flop was much like the annual car parking awards ceremony - no ladies in sight.

Ok, so I'll prob get some hate posts about that so apologies for my blatant sexism. Moving swiftly on...

Here are the duo, posing in classic contrast as Russell is all smiles and laughter as he stacks up his chips whilst a glum Kular waits patiently to find a spot to double his micro-stack up into a mini stack.

Dubai? You Couldn't Be More Wong!

Yes as well as running the £300 freezeout tonight, DTD has played host to the national Dubai looky-likey awards.

Here is Mr Dave Shallow himself, who was sadly unable to attend in person but had these words of support for those vying to win the much sought after trophy.

"Stick it all on red son. Gamboool!"

Thanks very much for the tip Dave, but I doubt Red Dog is in the running.

Taking the results in reverse order, in second place we have Dom Joly of Trigger Happy TV fame. Well played sir.

But the winner is none other than Jason Wong, whose sterling Dubai impression left Dusk Till Dawn breathless, speechless and largely pie-less.

Excellent win. We congratulate you from the bottom of our hearts.

Outdraw, re-outdraw, re-re-outdraw news now:

Scott Genever (pictured with the irrepressable small smile of the player who's come out doubling through when he could easily have been rail-propping) got his short stack all in on a flop of three clubs .  Neighbour with a much less mirthful expression Kevin Pearce (the one on the right of the photo, I know it's hard to tell) called with a perfectly reasonable .
Turn:
River:

Oh the rollercoaster.  Looks like they both make the last level of the day.

Lady Luck - Still in the tournament as it heads for its 3:15am close is the weary yet still fighting Debbie Fox.  Good to see an unfamiliar female face grace the tables.

The Tikay Train Trundles Triumphantly Onward

Tikay has been padding his stack regularly with raises, his latest coup a raise to 1,500 which caused his table to all fold before he flipped over the pretty looking .

"If I keep getting hands, I've got to keep raising!" he said, with possibly just a trace of a sneaky undertone of latent intent lacing his normal dulcid tones.

Possibly a few cheeky raises might be coming from Tikay's direction in the next few levels and he may be a little more reticent in revealing his hands at that point!

Just a guess though!
