After an overnight redraw, today's seating positions are as follows...

Table Floppy:

Seat 1: Surinder Sunar
Seat 2: Kevin O'Leary
Seat 3: Rob Sherwood
Seat 4: Greg Hunt
Seat 5: Tony Cascarino

Table Snoopy:

Seat 1: Dennis Clough
Seat 2: Roberto Romanello
Seat 3: Tim Flanders
Seat 4: Ali Mallu
Seat 5: Sid Harris

One man who briefly contested the proposed redraw was short stack Tim Flanders. He suggested that it was unfair, and perhaps unnecessary, that he could hit the big blind twice in a row.

to be fair to Tim Flanders he did have a point and why did they not just play down to the final table yesterday

Jonathan Raab said that he didn't want to play down to 10 last night because it could go on for multiple levels, and once you've said you'll play down to nine, you have to stick to it. Then when it gets to 4am or whatever, people are tired, return tomorrow in bad shape, etc, etc. He said that a redraw was made because the rules state that a redraw should take place at the end of every day's play, and it would be inconsistent to have done differently yesterday. Personally, I think it would be worth modifying the rules for next year so that, say, if there were still two tables left on the penultimate day, no draw is made. I'm not a big fan of redraws anyhow, at any time.

Jon Raab is introducing the players to the table to the sounds of 'Insomnia' by Faithless and giving them some interesting soundbites.

Ali Mallu -- 'Fear has been ripped out of his dictionary'
Roberto Romanello -- 'I like to call him Goberto Gobanello'
Sid Harris -- 'Even he doesn't know how he makes so many final tables'
Kevin O'Leary -- 'Representing colour-changing giraffees'

As Floppy alluded to, there were some intriguing gems from Jonathan Raab as the players made their entrance, but I think my personal fave was... "Tony Cascarino... representing, er... well, I'm not sure what country he's representing today."

First hand finds Rob Sherwood raising to 26k and Ali Mallu making the call from the button.

Rob bets 36k and Ali folds face up.

This doesn't phase Ali though and he raises and takes the blind next hand.

Surinder is next, and his raise takes down the blinds to keep his head above the water.

Greg Hunt is out and becomes the 9th finisher winning £4,400

This could be a quick affair.

With Tony Cascarino raising it up to 30,000 from under the gun, Ali Mallu makes the call one seat along, only for Greg Hunt to push all in from the small blind.

Without hesitation, Tony followed suit and also announced all in, whilst Ali Mallu sidesteps out of the way, tabling pocket threes in the process.

Tony =
Greg =
Board = Two Diamonds

Roberto takes the blinds with a raise to 30k.

Ali Mallu tries the same thing with a 30.5k raise UTG. It's passed to Tony Cascarino in the big blind, and Tony asks how much Ali is playing before moving all-in for 400k or so. Ali quickly folds. Mallu just got Mallued.

Sid Harris moves in and takes the blinds.
