It's been a quiet week for me, suffering from Man Flu but managed to get out to the Rendezvous on Tuesday where i took part in the £20 rebuy (£300f imo) where i obviously got nowhere i ventured into the cash game which had a stonking lineup, pulled up for 3k to try and induce the other to do the same but no joy. The game was pretty slow and i lost a couple of stupid pots with players drawing dead but hitting running str8's/2pairs in plo.

I didn't play long but it's always nice to catch up with the likes of Steve Lennon and Paul Parker, Paul managed to collar me for his EPT % which meant i was leaving the casino a good 1500 light. I wish i had some interesting hands to post up from the PLO but simply nothing happened, except the comedy hand where i fired into a KQT board with the only 3 people in the pot all holding AJxx!

I played online tonight for the first time since last Tuesday! Got the usual mauling so cut the session short, the new $100r on ftp was the icing where i managed to be in for $900 without really getting out of line, the only saving grace was the party super which i managed to bag, i was chip leader form level 2 and never lost it. The standard on there is pretty poor although i did have some fun with my HU opponent, i actually started feeling sorry for him because he just seemed lost after a while, this pot was quite com:

For some reason there were only about 115 runners today meaning the prizepool was rather small and first paid $4750 after JP's 10% i am left with a $1700 win on the day, probably helps that i am not playing the later tournaments or i would just be break even!

I was randomly watching u playing that fish HU actually and i remember that hand. It lloked like u were trapping the ace or even three 4's. Did you just know he had air and wanted to see what happened on the turn??

I could tell the guy was getting frustrated and he had started re-popping me pre but that hadn't slowed me down so i figured he would try something soon. When the flop came A44 i knew he would want to make a move, after all its the perfect board to do so. So given the stack size i didn't want to CB and let him jam so i CB'd quite small to allow for a smaller check raise, this would also leave him plenty back to fold and also allows me to flat the flop and take it on the turn rather than having to 3 bet jam the flop which would obviously cost a lot more chips if i was wrong.
