or could've been the cubs' first no hitter in 36 years. not the biggest news though as I'd imagine most other teams have had one in that time
Yeah, Zambrano pitched a no hitter for the Cubs against the Astros. They showed the final innings last night, and whilst he pitched fine for the first two outs, he was bricking it for the last one. It does seem to be a big thing to them though. Over history they've had 13, with 8 since 1900. They had two in 1972, from different pitchers.
The first ever no hitter at a neutral ground, and the 2nd of this season in the majors.
The Mets and the Padres have never had one. And the Giants haven't had one since 32 years ago.
