it's gone midnight so is now officially the last day of the Gutshot, the club holds it's last tournament tonight and then closes it's doors for good. I'm a bit gutted I can't be there for the last night tbh.

a bit of a sad day for those of us who cut our teeth playing at the club but as luck would have it there's another club opening just down the road the next day, what a coincidence.

so long and thanks for the memories

the Gutshot is dead, long live the Gutshot International

Have you got any details of this new club? as was planning on going to the Gutshot when I am in London in a fortnight but obviously will now need to find somewhere else (which is not easy as there are a few festivals going on that weekend).

I'd expect there'll be poker even on the nights it isn't scheduled as you'll essentially have a migration of all the gutshot's members. make sure you apply for membership online before you go

End of an era imo, used to love that place, although not so much of late. Let's hope the new place is better run

lol, not really a reason for closing a club or there wouldn't be many poker clubs open in the UK.

the repercussions of the court case were a major factor, but the main thing is the 'coincidental' opening tomorrow just up the road of a club with a gaming permit and most of the gutshot staff

the closing night tournament is now well underway.

by popular request it's a £5 rebuy and somehow the prizepool has hit £6,425.

there were 958 rebuys and 147 add-ons from the field of 180

Were there actually 958 rebuys or were there a few more but they didn't make the tin.....be a shame if they didn't keep up the tradition on the last night!
