Im thinkin of going over for my birthday, on the sunday its Milan v Sampdoria. I want tickets for this game but i dont know if i should buy em over the internet (no im not buying them of the dj!) or buy them at the ground.

If anyones been there or to any other grounds in Itay what did you do?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Ciao

the stadium is a bit of a trek from the town, so I would try and sort your tickets beforehand. there is a ac milan shop in the town centre (piazza san fedele) which should sell tickets.

most hotels will know how to go about getting them as well.

It's quality went for an AC Inter game, atmosphere was something else!!! Get hold of a copy of Football Italia mag and they have adverts for company's that get you tickets hotel and flights in a package.

In all honesty it's one of the worst stadia, if not the worst I have been in, perhaps billingham synthonia runs it close.  Think old wembley divided by 4 and your about there.  About a 2 mile trek from tube thing, traffic makes it the best method still though (although it was a weeknight I was there).

Went on the stadium tour the day after the game which was interesting- I'd guess it must have been done up a bit since I went- there weren't any western toilets in the changing rooms even.

No doubt in full flow the atmosphere would make it worth while, but to be honest I don't think that fixture will create it. The city ccentre is a bit of dive too - it's no Linthorpe road mate!

Having said all this I'm sure you'll have a good trip!!!

I'm sure there'll be plenty of tickets and I remember quiet a few booths outside the ground - they may just be collection booths for internet purchases. If it lets you pick seats over the internet that'll prob be best. The farside from the dug outs would give you the best view of the three big stands, and you'll avoid being up in the gods too.
