The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

I must be the table jinx for no sooner do I arrive back to the table another one hits the dust this time it was....

Richard Kellett is out and becomes the 4th place finisher winning £3,186

Button raiser Ricky ups it to 30k to play on blinds of 5k/10k

He received a call from Daniel Ward on the BB.

Out comes the flop

Check says Daniel

60k replies Ricky. Whilst multy tasking rubbing his hands together with glee and counting out his call bet it seems Dan is dribbling with delight at the way this betting is going.

 Turn

ALL IN shouts Ricky,  CALL shouts Dan,  at the prospect of such a big pot.

Ricky's      is no match for Dan's    flopped straight.

on the river and wicky is off back to Albert Square.

Terry Fletcher is touching felt (no, he doesn't need the toilet) after an incredible hand. Mark Roberts limped from the button, Daniel Ward made up the small blind and Fletcher checked his option in he big blind. On an Two Diamonds flop, all hell broke loose as Fletcher check-raised all in and Roberts called!

Roberts =
Fletcher = Two Clubs

Turn = , River =

Ouch!

Terry Fletcher is out and becomes the 3rd place finisher winning £4,777

It is official I am no longer TheNun, I am THEJINX.

Once again I returned to the table where play was down to three-handed and immediately we saw the elimination of Fletcher.

With a depleted stack of 40k he pushed all in from the SB with  finding Mark in the BB holding    .

The A high holds on a Two Clubs and we are HU.

Mark Roberts is out and becomes the 2nd place finisher winning £7,257

Three hands later and it's all over, no HU battling for these chaps.

Mark Roberts calls up the SB but Daniel Ward was having none of that cheap flop nonsense and raised it another 18k.

Mark, feeling lucky with nothing more than   burning a hole in his palms can't wait to get it all in.

Dan calls with

Board =   two spades  three clubs

Ward has his man covered by just a few thousand and it's good game, well played and off to the cash desk ready for the journey home.

And on that note, the fastest DTD monthly freezeout in history is done and dusted, with Daniel Ward triumphing in what was a whirlwind of a final table. Rarely did someone deliberate, Oscar it up or reuqest a clock, and all players were super aggressive to the point of almost every pot being met with a preflop raise.

All that's left is for me to thank The Nun for her outstanding debut, and husband Darren who provided an extra pair of eyes at key times during the rapid-fire final table. Of course, no update from Nottingham would be complete without giving a big thumbs up to everybody from Simon, Maggie, Nick Whiten and all the DTD staff who make this such a wondeful place to work.

Oh, and Ironside, I didn't forget you, so here's a special parting gift for everybody's favourtie Scottish gooseberry...

Roast me a haddock, I'll be back for brunch.
