Well, he had two pints in his paws before we'd even started today, so chances are high.

It all ended in tears for Ian after pushing all in with his  with an over pair and flush draw against the flopped two pairs  of Tony Salmon with the river being

After a fast-paced start, the action seems to have slowed somewhat with folk beginning to smell the fibre of DTD's fabric. I did spot a bit of preflop action, however, one of which was Phil Clarke conceding his 6,000 to a reraise to 17,000 from Richard Kellett. Amusingly, Kellet boomed his reraise. "Don't think they heard you in Preston," joked his neghbour. "Aaaah, did I seeey tat loudleeeey?" asked Kellett in his broad Northern accent as he removed a headphone. "I got it on tut full blast." In the end, Clarke let it go, although reminded he was being pushed around by Kellett, and returned to nurturing his 20k stack. "Wanna see one?" asked Kellett before showing an ace.

A hand or two later, Daniel Ward button raised for 5,300, only for Dave Nisbet to push all in from the big blind for a total of 31,600. "Best hand I've seen..., claimed Nisbet, "... for four months." With the table giggling, Ward released his hand saying "I'll let you have it" in the process. It was probably for the best, as Nisbet showed pocket queens.

Jonathan Spinks Sorry, Daniel Ward has sent Bob Ballou to the rail after Bob pushed all in with connectors only to run into Wards  K-K.

From the near table:

(1) Francis Pippin and Tony Salmon both limped for 2,000 before folding to a raise of 7,000 from Daniel Ward.
(2) Richard Kellett made it 7,500 from the small blind, Francis Pipping called from the big. Kellett took it down with a bet of 12,000 on the flop.
(3) Salmon limped UTG, Kellet flatted the button, Francis Pipping limped the small blind and Rob Allen checked the big. All four checked a flop, only for Kellet to win the pot with a bet of 6,500 on the turn. He showed an ace.
