Looks like players are going on a short break now with 20 of them still left in. The plan is to play down to final table tonight, or until everyone falls asleep.

Attention Karl Mahrenholz fans! The tallest man at the tables now has a stack tall enough to match.

A short time ago, he said to me, "Is anyone short?"

I couldn't resist saying back to him, "Anyone standing next to you."

Lots of short stacks now, Sami Yusuf, Stephen Biggs, Dave Penly, Andrew Clarke all sitting in a row taking turns to push. Paul McIntyre has also been very active on his table recovering some chips after losing perhaps half his 120k stack.

Karl made it 11k in early position and it folded around to Jamie Brown in, I think, the small blind, who made it 33k in total. Karl then pushed all in for another 90k and Brown called.

Brown:
Mahrenholz:

Board: two spades

Mr Mahrenholz now on probably 240k.

Should look happier:

A shout to Matt Heeps (aka SpaggyMay and Fishcop1) - good effort fella, keep it up - from Lazarus, Tonbanker and the Betdempseys crew

We are now officially bubbling:

This is entirely down to the demise of Jimmy Morgan in 20th place, who tried it on with 2-3 in the small blind. Jamie Brown found A-K in the big blind, though, and was only too happy to oblige.

Hand for hand now, Liam Pettman raised to 18k in the cutoff and it folded around to Stephen Biggs in the big blind. With his 6k blind and 300 ante in the middle already, he had just 12.2k behind. And managed to fold. Yikes...

Hello hello, welcome to blonde. I shall pass on your well-wishing. Knew my angling for sign-ups would come good. You'll make ColchesterKev smile inside if you take a look at the blonde cardroom too (angle angle Smiley)

Stephen Biggs put his last 2 big blinds in with and Dave Penly auto-called with in the big blind.

three diamonds ...

And at this point, all the other short stacks were no doubt thinking "Blasted Biggs". *

"Four for a chop," someone astutely points out.

An almost believably sympathetic "Ahhhhhhhhhhh," ripples around the cardroom whilst secretly, everyone in the money is like this --

*The truly awesomely nerdy will get this reference.

The bubbler and he that hath burst it -- Stephen Biggs and Dave Penly.

Chip leader at the start of the level, Karl Mahrenholz. Looks like he's lost about 30k back to Jamie Brown though.

Mr Andrew Clarke is no more. Paul McIntyre limped in on the small blind and Clarke shoved from the big for not a great deal with . McIntyre felt that it was worth calling with two hearts , and indeed it worked out well for him.
