Tim Krul, Habib Beye, Jose Enrique, Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Joey Barton, Damien Duff, Kevin Nolan, Jonas Gutierrez, Alan Smith ©, Oba Martins

Lost 6-1 at Leyton Orient today

sense a hell of a betting opportunity to buy Newcastle points after an assumedly rough first six weeks of the season, assuming some stability and a permanent manager by then

Sir Bobby Robson, though looking weak, looks in good form. Absolute legend.

Shearer at SJP for the last time in a while? Shearer and Ferdinand back together again.

how do you feel about Shearer leaving then? Rather curious to find out how the Newc supporters think of this.

my lifes so shit. I finally think im gona get weighed in on my Shearer next Newcastle Manager bet, but no no, hes not getting the job.

GG £300.

In other news, me and Linux thinking about making the trip up North for the Newcastle v Leeds friendly on Wednesday. Expect to win tbh, we were excellent against a full strength Blackburn side on Saturday.

Mainly just want to go to abuse Smith, the Judas Scum.

Is he leaving/Is he not?! I think the main issue is just not knowing.

We need to focus everything on getting back in the PL this season. There really cant be any question about that. Financially there is no way that we can take a couple of years and build back up. We need to get back in the Pl and then do that.  For that reason I dont think getting a proven second tier manager is the way to go. We must accpet that we arent going to get (or even afford) a top quality proven manager. We're in a huge hole and we need fighters and people that give a shit.  That for me gives a decent backing to the Shearer for manager campaign.  The last 8 games of last season don't. But I dont think that is really anything to be taken into too much consideration.

The key thing is that something needs to happen, and it needs to happen now.... well within the next 10 days. If it doesnt I really really fear for the coming season, even if the expected mass clear out of players doesnt come along. If that does happen we'll really struggle for numbers through to January and then it could be too late too.

Its pretty fucking shit. I know that.

I've just flown through Newcastle, literally, and it kind of brought te situation to light. This season really could be our worst yet. Our only hope is that the youngesters that will be thrown into the deep end find something from somewhere and keep us within touching distance to January. We then need to be bought, stablised and strengthened for an outside go at the playoffs.

I really think Saturday could be embarrassing.
