I come in peace

Realistically, what does Pardew need to do in the remaining transfer window?

What is the view on the Pardew 8 year contract now?

How much of this is injuries and how much of this is tactical problems?

We have to bring in a cb, 2 if Colo leaves and a striker.

The view when he got the contract was meh even Ashley can't be that stupid he'd not have clauses in it,  now it's meh surely Ashley can't be stupid enough to not put any clauses in.

In the 2nd half today we were absolutely horrendous and the blame has to lie at Pardews door there, fact is, as I think I may've already said, we were really lucky last year with literally everything going our way whereas this year has been the opposite. Hopefully that won't result in relegation but after today's showing lets just say I'm glad Keith didn't take that bet.

Going to be an interesting battle at the bottom. However, I don't think you will be down there for too long.

I do wonder though who will be going down, because everyone in the battle can show a great deal on a good day and QPR and Reading have had a decent bit of form recently.

What is an SMB?

Think it refers to a football forum of some repute in those parts - Sunderland Message Board.

Go the, err, Mackems.

The top thread today is "Pardew Sacked", & it runs to 13 pages of how much they all like Mr Pardew, & wish him well.

Newcastle's new arrival Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is targeting a top-six finish and eventually a Premier League winners' medal after becoming the Magpies' second French signing of the January transfer window.

"I think with the players we have got on board and the manager and his ideas, we can definitely close the gap, get in the top six and, in the long term, why not challenge for the title," he says.

Deary me.

[X] 24 tabling and not that focused on who setup the goals against us.

Not that hard to own a team playing absolutely shit, we'd be buying a lot of average players if that was how we picked our new signings.
