It was an encouraging performance. I like the look of Cabella and was pleasantly surprised by Colback. Would be interested in seeing Riviere and Perez on together as Riviere looked promising but had pretty much no support.
Taking Anita off for Obertan was a baffling change as the Alan Pardew substitution lottery continues.
Dummet and Gouffran offer nothing and Collocini is looking a bit past it these days. I'd much rather see a Williamson/MYM combo at the back. I think MYM was injured hence not even on the bench.
We can only hope Pardew lets us play an attacking game. And Sissoko needs to stay in CM rather than being put out on the wing like most of last season.

it made me feel even worse about things to be honest.
we spend all this money and that is all we have to offer offensively? riveiere wouldnt have scored if we played for a week. Gouffran and Sissoko not good enough and we have Paul Dummett as our left back.
Worst of all when we need creativity and something to get us a goal, Aarons and Obertan come on and HBA isnt in the squad, total joke and pretty sickening that Pardews ego allows this.

Something like that IMO. I'd love to see that attacking 3 but HBA isn't getting anywhere near the team with Pardew in charge.

tbf colback showed today what weve been missing for a long time, gives us a lot of balance not just with left foot but no errors, good set pieces and works hard.

Never been fully sold on Santon. Isn't he still injured for a while anyway?

When Obertan comes on as your first sub, and HBA isn't even on the bench when he's fit, your failing as a manager.
Don't want to judge players on one performance but confirmed we desperately need a Striker, excited about watching Cabella for 12 months though.

sissoko cant pass, shoot or cross, colback can cross/shot so think even he offers more attacking wise |
