i assumed that if ashley ever spent more than 5m for a player he must be bloody good, 14m he must be a superstar! other fans felt similarly and now Pardew admits he's not the player we need, we need a player who can "run at player and take them on" which is exactly what HBA does.

Like I said Remy is a good goalscorer, but he is not necessarily a player that we need in our team. We play with 2 holding midfielders and 2 wingers who cant cross/dont take their man on thus he will get very little service. Last season we had hba, cabaye creating a lot more chances for him. Pardew doesn't seem to be moved with Colback and Tiote in the team and that means we won't be running past the striker very often. Remy is the kind of player that plays off the shoulder of the last defender and runs onto balls, so with Fabregas, schrule, Oscar and Hazard I'm sure he will do well but when he has to but his arse into Ryan Shawcross or win headers against John Terry he will and does look very very average.

Believe me mate, I would wish for nothing more than us to be a team that plays slick moving football where we can afford a luxury of a striker who looks to get behind the defence, but instead we play long ball football. Even against stoke we hit long ball after long ball.

It's very similar to Cisse, he scored goal after goal when we were creating chances. Marveux, HBA, Cabaye and Ba were creating him tonnes of chances and he was scoring goals and having confidence. All four were removed from the team and he went from looking like the best striker in the league to the worst. Go check his goals/minute in the season before last and I'm sure you will tell me he is world class.

Remy could very well look very good in our team if Martinez was manager unfortunately we have Pardew and this is one of the main reasons he HAS to leave.

This quote is not made up:

"I get it. I will go home, shine my manager of the year trophy and give myself a bit of confidence."

Team is

        Krul

Janmaat Colocini Williamson Dummett

obertan   tiote  colback sissoko gouffran

                    cisse

if we looked at this team 2-3 years ago not one fan would believe we'd have progressed so little. Its really really ridiculous.

When was the last time Gouffran didn't play a game? He's become undroppable even though he's been absolute shit for the past year+. I liked him at first but he's been played out of position pretty much since and I just want him to fuck off. Bloody Pardew.

Yanga-Mbiwa plays the full 90 against Juventus. I'm sorry but how can this make any sense?

Roma loaned him and within a month where he had barely played came back and wanted to discuss making it permanent. How can we not need him but the team who have started serie A so well aswell as performing creditably in the CL be desperate to wrap up the deal, doubtless before other teams were interested. Absolute shambles.

I imagine defending in a team that is full of superstars is far easier than for an exposed Newcastle team. Sometimes people just can't cope with the intensity of the PL. Forlan is one example I can think of. Gervinho was gash for arsenal but doing great for Roma too

Missed the point a bit. We arent complaining he was guff for us but great for roma, more that he wasnt given a chance for us but appears pretty decent as most fans thought, yet we have had such awful defending problems and our cover is steven.....taylor.....sigh. Its more proof pardew doesnt know what hes doing when CL teams are loaning off us for undesirable players under pardew.

It's not like our current defence is winning itself any accolades. But they're basically undroppable because we don't have any replacements.

Think pardew will go but very much doubt a change of manager will reverse your fortunes. The lack of ambition seems to come from the board.

Is Mike looking for a way out, seems he is trying to force changes through at the rangers international football club.    He has also recently increased his shareholding to maximum allowed.

Are TRIFC potentially worth more to him than Newcastle when when it comes to commercialism given that Sports Direct have the TRIFC club shops as well.
