Earlier on in the level, there was a mammoth hand that provided us with a new chip leader in Peter Wilson. On a Q-T-6 flop, Wilson was fortunate enough to not only flop a set of queens, but find both his opponents sitting on sets also, Peter Garrett and Guntis Feldmanis flopping sixes and tens respectively. No miracle turn or river, and a monster monster pot (hail Eric Hall) went sailing Wilson's way. A quick count signalled a rather splendid 125,000 stack.

Meanwhile, there was an tense clash between Neil Giblin and Zahir Aslam on a neighbouring table. Giblin made it 1,200 preflop from late position, Aslam defended from the big blind and the two players saw an flop. Aslam checked, Giblin bet 1,900, Aslam raised to 5,100 and Giblin pushed all in.
