Anthony (or Tony as he just told the table he wants to be known) now raises to 10,500.

No resistance again and a cagey start to the final continues as the blinds are won again by a preflop raise...

It folds around to Ash Hussain on the small blind, who merely limps. Tony Ross checks, and they proceed to a flop.

Ash checks, Mr Ross bets 5k, and Ash folds.

Fairly action-free so far, but we're expecting fireworks any minute now.

Uberstacked Marc Goodwin raises this time, to 10k. Everyone folds in fear (may have made up the fear bit) and Marc shows them .

Blind on blind, Pauls Newman and Foltyn limp/check their way to a flop.

Flop:

Check, check.

Turn:

Now Newman bets 4k, and Pab calls.

River:

They both check again, and Pab shows which must be good enough to win as Newman just mucks.

Onwards!

Derek/John Miller raises to 10k utg, and Paul Newman dwells up on the button for a bit....

...but passes, as does everyone else.

Still awaiting fireworks. Have lit the blue touch paper and stood well back. Am considering going back to the lit firework to see why it hasn't exploded. It might explode in my face. Pray for me.

Ash Hussain makes it 8.2k to go, and Derekjohn Miller is the only caller.

Flop:

Miller checks to Hussain, who bets again. Miller quickly folds, and Hussain shows him pocket aces for his trouble.

Derek calls from the small blind and Marc Goodwin checks from the big blind.

They go to a flop of ...

Derek bets out 5k, Marc calls...

TURN:

Derek, who is also known sometimes as John apparently checks, Marc bets 5k...

"John" now makes the first aggressive move of the final and check raises to 15k and Marc lays it down...

It folds around to Marc Goodwin in the small blind, who limps in. Short Stack Of The Day Essy Jahanpour moves in from the big blind, and Big Stack Of The Day Marc Goodwin calls.

Goodwin:
Jahanpour:

Board:

Thusly Essy Jahanpour busts out in 8th place, winning £3,000 of Bluesquare internet funds.

Next hand Paul Newman shoves all-in...all fold to Ash Hussain who now asks for a count from the small blind...

Eventually...he passes though and Paul pads his stack with the 6.1k in blinds and antes.

Ash makes it 12k from the small blind, and big blind Tony Ross lets him have it. As in, he folds. Doesn't beat him up or anything.
