Moments later, as I chatted with Rookie, who was watching from the rail, The Pabra sprung into action!

In typical LAG-tard fashion he found himself calling Richard Wheatley's push with pocket fives with...yes pocket ACES!

"Must be nice to be Pab!" observed Rookie dryly...

A flop of K-7-7-A left Richard drawing dead by the turn and The Pabra takes yet ANOTHER victim!

Meanwhile myself and Rookie dissected the hand.

"Bit risky there from Pab...maybe he should have waited till the turn before he got his chips in" I offered.

"Yes but what if someone had sevens?" queried Rookie.

"Good point. Check call to the river probably best..."

The Pabra could only smirk as he raked int he pot...

Dana,

Could you tell me is the mad scouser (Steve Bayliff) still in if so could you give him and Derek Miller a big WOOP WOOP from allinbob AKA Dave Green.

Cheers Mate great updates.

I'm afraid Mr Bayliff is OUT -- Junglecat informs me he posted the exit; Mr Jeff Kimber did the deed.

Will WOOOOP Mr Miller after the break.

The players are on a break at the moment but will returning shortly.

It's getting very exciting now with just 3 tables left...

Sowing The Seed Of Failure

Just before the break, a bit of a disaster for Darren Seed -- Kevin Parkes open-shoved utg with and Seed re-shoved with , looking good, but...

Board: two hearts

Thus the grass is green for Parkes on 20k now, while Seed's blossoming stack has been cut down to 6k.

Trickett, Sam - OUT!

The chip leader from the start of the day has perished, Sam getting his last few chips in with A-K and picking up a call from Anthony Thorpe's pocket Jacks.

"Now I've got a bowl of rice, I'll probably win this race!" said an exasperated Trickett, whose day has not gone too well after a promising start.

An ace straight off the bat suggested his premonition would come true but then BANG! a jack appeared and Sam started putting his coat on, knowing the death knell had almost tolled for him.

Toll it did, as the turn and river blanked sending Trickett crashing out shy of the prize monies.

"Good game all" said he, as he turned tail and left.

Here he is with his executioner Thorpe, when his dreams of victory were still a tangible possibility...

Pascal Heynsen doubles through Paul Parker -- didn;t see what Parker had, but Heynsen was holding A-K, with another two aces on the board.

--------

Martin Knibb open-shoves for just 3.7k from the button with three clubs and finds a caller in Paul Newman on the big blind holding . A board guarantees the double up for Knibb, and Newman's stacked is knibbled down.

Discarded Confectionery Item of the Day

As you will have surmised from his absence from the chip counts, Julian Thew is no longer in the competition with only a sole discarded drumstick remaining as trace evidence he was ever with us.

A moment's silence please for this stoic campaigner, there through the good times, dumped in the bad.

We salute you sir...

By The Grace Of God...

Ketul Nathwani raised, Richard Grace shoved for around 14.5k, and after some thought, Nathwani called. It was the right call, but it's not Ketul's day.

Nathwani:
Grace:

Board:

Thus Grace makes the straight to double up to around 30k, while Ketul is down to just 6 or 7k...
