they've done what wrong? other people did something then went into their house. when they found out about it they got the people responsible to come and see the victim. good luck with getting them evicted for that
I didn't say they would be evicted, I said legally they could be evicted. In a situation like this, the landlord is in a much better position to lean on the tenant than the police are.
It could be they are living in a slum and the owner won't give a shit, it could be it's a private landlord who doesn't like hassle and who will likely give them plenty grief, or it could be the property is managed by a professional agent who will have a standard procedure that might involve, for example, implementing more frequent inspection visits. After all, if you let people into your house who vandalise cars in the street, what are they doing to the property itself?
Josedinho wants his cash, and I'd say going through the landlord is as good a way as any of getting it.
As for the other stuff, smashing the windows, etc. might make you feel better but its not gonna get the money back.
lol at this.
so a strong reaction to someone who hasn't done anything will make them less likely to do something in the future even though they didn't do anything this time? you don't think it might just piss them off a little bit?
if I was the tenant who has done nothing wrong and has made an effort to sort it out and you go running to grass to my landlord you'll probably find that your house windows are put through very soon
They have done something wrong this time. That bit seems to pass you by. As I've said before I am a landlord and I'd want to know if this was going on in one of my places. Not everyone feels that way; I do.
You say they've made an 'effort' to sort it out. Doesn't sound like much effort to me. If your reaction involved wanting to put someone's windows in I'd just see that as confirmation it defo was your mates who did it. Birds of a feather, etc..
