they've done what wrong? other people did something then went into their house. when they found out about it they got the people responsible to come and see the victim. good luck with getting them evicted for that

I didn't say they would be evicted, I said legally they could be evicted. In a situation like this, the landlord is in a much better position to lean on the tenant than the police are.

It could be they are living in a slum and the owner won't give a shit, it could be it's a private landlord who doesn't like hassle and who will likely give them plenty grief, or it could be the property is managed by a professional agent who will have a standard procedure that might involve, for example, implementing more frequent inspection visits. After all, if you let people into your house who vandalise cars in the street, what are they doing to the property itself?

Josedinho wants his cash, and I'd say going through the landlord is as good a way as any of getting it.

As for the other stuff, smashing the windows, etc. might make you feel better but its not gonna get the money back.

lol at this.

so a strong reaction to someone who hasn't done anything will make them less likely to do something in the future even though they didn't do anything this time? you don't think it might just piss them off a little bit?

if I was the tenant who has done nothing wrong and has made an effort to sort it out and you go running to grass to my landlord you'll probably find that your house windows are put through very soon
They have done something wrong this time. That bit seems to pass you by. As I've said before I am a landlord and I'd want to know if this was going on in one of my places. Not everyone feels that way; I do.

You say they've made an 'effort' to sort it out. Doesn't sound like much effort to me. If your reaction involved wanting to put someone's windows in I'd just see that as confirmation it defo was your mates who did it. Birds of a feather, etc..

I googled bottles and eviction and got a lot of results for some girl named Kinga offa big brother.

Hope this helps.

Not likely to be many more updates. Enjoyed the thread though.
I'm reporting it to the police but not going to go to the landlord. I honestly don't think it was anyone at the house they just happen to have mates that are prats and decided not to come clean.

As soon as Bolt has recieved his $4k that he is owed from Flushy he's agreed to come up and sort out an appropriate response.

Looking back:

I saw the post where the people who were at the house denied being involved. Not long after Jose had caught out the owner of the house lying about having people round. When your first exchange with someone involves them lying to your face I'd generally recommend not giving any credibility to anything else they tell you.

I'm sorry to hear Jose won't be getting any cash back. Smashing their car up in revenge isn't a good idea either as police like easy detections.

Finding a screw in your tyre is a real pain in the butt and one of those things that can easily be an unfortunate accident.

what about simply letting down their tyres?

Moral of the story, dont rent from Div, every day would be a lottery.  Will I be evicted today or not?  Was the Tv too loud, did I slam that door too hard?  Was I not polite enough to the postman?

Neighbours complaining because your tenants guests are damaging other people's property not quite comparable. Plus if they are damaging other peoples stuff, you can be sure they are not bothered about looking after your property.

Moral of the story 1, hope Boba doesn't buy a Buy to Let house near you, he'd be happy to let it to scum.

Moral of the story 2, Div won't give you a kicking like some people would under the circumstances.

Few months back the guy that does our windows came round, cleaned the windows got paid and i shut the door. I heard some noise outside but didn't think much of it till a neighbour came to the door and told me the window cleaner had put his ladders through my car window and leaving a nice dent in the boot.

to last week Debs comes in and says that she had taken the next door neighbour up for some things in the town and that my neighbour had pointed out the guy working behind the counter at victoria wine. Seeemingly Debs said something to the lad but he didn't seem to bothered as he now had another job.

I fancied some wine tonight so visited Victoria Wine, I picked up a couple of bottles and got some cigarettes from him. when he asked for the money i said i think you can pay for that and reminded him of the incident. he stood there and said nothing, his coworker asked what the issue was to which i explained the situation. after him initially trying to say he wasn't there he admitted that he didn't know why he ran away and didn't say. There was no way it was deliberate and if he had came to the door it would have been cool. Anyway I left with my wine and cigs and told him that that cost a hell of a lot less than it did to fix the car.

Wine was nice may go back for another.......might even pay for it next time...
