What an honour to be In The Well, esp following in the footsteps of the previous rabble lol. And a marvellous first question….

I have indeed got over it. I often wish my name rhymed with something cool, I think it helps in life, especially helping lazy journalists write headlines.

Newcastle used to a have a goalkeeper called Mike Hooper. He was a big lazy ginger lummox who was hopeless, but as his name rhymed with super dooper, the crowd would sing Soooooper Dooooooper Hoooooper every time he played, I’m sure it helped prolong his career.

Lol which time? He called my raise with 68 sooooted for 15% of his stack and flopped a flush against my AK, or the time when he couldn‘t pass J9 in the bb because my raise to 4300 at 800 1600 was far too small. Who said he was a rock ffs? Manages to hit flops orite tho.

did you know u can play poker for real money on your mobile phone? if not James Browning will show you
I did observe from afar, I do need to fill in the gap in poker when I'm not playing online or live (ie the walk to the casino)so maybe u could set me up a tutorial. I'll make sure you're booked in just before me tho, woudn't want to push in and cud see you itchin to get involved

What you think about this from McCool's blog?

As for Jeff Kimber getting my chips, well he was probably the only player left l wouldn't want to see my chips going too so that was a bitter pill to swallow. I think Jeff can play a bit, of that l have no doubt, but he is just a bit up his own ass if you get my drift!

Are you up ypur own ass?

Can you play a bit?

Do you get his drift?

How long after starting to play did it take you to FT the Laddies daily biggy?

Who would you rather face HU for your BR, Decision or Strummer?

what games do you play online? cash/comps? what levels?

Online I generally stick to PLO cash, around the 5/10 levels altho, I play as low as 2/4 and have been known to give the 200/400 a spin…lol great bankroll management.  I’m playin a bit of limit PLO8 and limit hold em too, anywhere between 30/60 and 100/200, those games are more a break for me though when I’m bored of other forms of poker. Am also playing a bit of HORSE, the standard seems so bad even in the big games.

If I’m at home I’ll generally have a few days off then play some nightly tournies, the $100r on Laddies, sometimes the 100r on Stars, whatever the comp on Blue Sq is too. Any big fessies that are on, the LEOCOP, ECOOP etc, I’ll generally get involved with, plus I’ve always done pretty well in sats so anything Ladbrokes don’t put me in, I try and qualify online for....the PCA, other EPTs etc. The Latin America Poker Tour could be the next target, I went to Rio last year for a break and loved South America.

In your live game, where are your priorities? You seem to go here, there and everywhere.......

First of all I go where Ladbrokes send me…then I fill in the gaps around them. So all the UK Poker tour events, then the important EPTs to Ladbrokes, which are London and Copenhagen. Add in the Irish Open, World HU, the Poker Million, take out 5 or 6 weeks for Vegas in the summer and maybe a couple of holidays to get away from poker and there’s not that much time left. I basically either go where there’s massive value in great comps, or somewhere nice and hot and exotic where the poker and holiday go hand in hand. I like the travelling bit, so things like Singapore and Turks and Caicos seemed like opportunities to go somewhere I would never go unless I was playing poker.

can u tell us that dont know how u got or came up with the nockname "jaffa cake" please

Watching the first series of Late Night Poker me and my sisters were fascinated by poker and decided to play between ourselves. As all the players seemed to have alliterative nicknames, like Dave the Devilfish, Ulliott Peter the Poet Costa, Barmy Barny Boatman etc etc. When we got the cards out, my big sis gave us all stupid piss-name names, so I became Jeff the JaffaCake. Soon after I signed up for Pokerroom, was just about the only online site around at that time, when it asked for a poker nickname I didn’t know what that meant but put JaffaCake in, I never knew it would appear on the screen. Yeah a few people pointed this out to me last week. I’m amazed how many people seem to read blogs of this sort, I mean I’ve read Brian Townsend’s when he was playing the big 200/400 and posting hands from that, and Negreanu’s on the odd occasion, but I don’t get why you would read this blog? What’s there to learn here?

I’ve never, or never realised, I had a problem with McCool, but obviously I have. I’d imagine if u think someone is up their ass, whatever that means, possibly writing about them and posting pics of them on your blog is not  the best way of changing that situation.

My first job as a journalist was on a basketball magazine, and if we were getting no post in for the letters page I wrote, we’d have to make something up. Generally we’d write something like ‘Michael Jordan is past his best, it’s time he gave up, he’s a waste of space these days….’ and wait for the outraged to write in and start an argument which we could print the next week. I imagine if you write a blog about poker but don’t really have any interesting stories and successes to write about yourself you perhaps have to inflate something yourself. I’m sure if he was getting the lot at 200/400 like Townsend or winning bracelets like Negreanu there wouldn’t be any need to have a go at someone who makes a standard call to send u spinning out of a side event.

I did look at it once it was pointed out, someone told me there was a reply saying just coz Jeff made a good call on you don’t be bitter, or words to that effect, to which he basically accuses this response to having come from me lol. Obv the only person who could possibly come to that conclusion would be me. He does reply that I snap called him with the pocket eights tho, which is hilarious he feels the need to lie to make his story sound better….I cut my stack down so many times and counted out what I would have left if I called and lost the hand I was boring myself...obv I felt it was a race and needed to decide if I needed to take a race on now.

So no, I don’t get him, yes I think I can play a bit, I’m not sure that involves anyone’s ass, so no I don’t get his drift, but I wouldn’t be the first to be confused by his ramblings….
