I am surprised(not the assualt, he's a scouser after all) but that with liverpol doing so well he'd let himself get caught up in this sort of thing, he's always seemed a bit of a shrewdie to me when it came to his image.

I think its probably going to come out eventually that he was barely involved at all for that reason, Gerrard is waaaaaay too aware of his image to have done much wrong imo (Now if it was Rooney, that's a different matter) - most likely scenario for me is that one of his mates got in some argie-bargie (is that how you spell it?) and some scouser saw the opportunity to run head first into Gerrards static fist with the intention of suing him.
