Swimming Against the Tide

Winning at sports betting has never been harder.
Everyone has far too much information about form, team news, internal problems at clubs etc etc.
However, I think the one way we can beat this is to back teams who are supposedly in "crisis" because the world and wife wants to oppose them and they drift to such an extent that they become value...
So, for 2009 (or until I get bored of it) I will make a post when I think such a situation exists and at the end of the year I would be very suprised if this system loses money..
Bet 1: Chelsea at Man Utd. I've put a request to back them: 2pts at 3.9 on Betfair.

I agree;
Stafford Rangers had financial difficulties a few weeks ago and lost their manager and 5 players.
they lost the next 3 games, but during this period signed a couple of players on loan, then for their next game they were 8/1 at Telford. Everyone was jamming on Telford at 4/9.
Stafford won.

Yeah this has been very evident this season - I've highlighted Arsenal a few times on my blog at ridic prices due to everyone thinking they are terrible.

Agreed, often when you hear about teams having boardroom unrest/financial difficulty/injury crisis etc etc its actually just all stemmed from a local newspaper/club website news item where they have to fill an alloted amount of space in the back pages to that club, so they really over exaggerate the stories and then the national papers get hold of it and blow everything out of proportion.

Successfully matched.
And wth news Chelsea's team hotel was woken by a fire alarm at 7am.. I've put a request for another 2pts to back them at 4.1 just in case the price gets REALLY silly.

:/
I'll tell you what, Spurs have drifted to 3.35-3.4 pre match at Wigan. That's pretty fair value too imo.

It's a marathon, not a sprint.
Want a side bet this makes a profit by the end of 2009?
