It's full of loose women and local men trying to sleep with them/rob them. Royhpnol sold over the counter. Anyone I've known go has had a bad experience, some extremely bad, sorry.

Flushy the Ritz Carlton is truly one of the best hotels in the world, true 5* service (I admit my sample size is small) but reviews bear this out.

However unless you are going on business why would you wish to go to Cancun? a truly awful place and my sample size of awful places is vast.

this

if you want to do partying/drinking/beach go to a million better places

if you want to do mexico go to mexico city, a great place

the only thing worth doing near cancun is the mayan sites but there are just as many easily accessible from the capital

Yeah Cancun not my first choice but it has to be, sigh.

My list off possibles is there

Le Blanc Spa http://www.leblancsparesort.com/about/index.html
Ritz Carlton http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/Cancun/Default.htm
Sun Palace http://www.palaceresorts.com/Resorts/SunPalace/
The Royal http://www.realresorts.com/The_Royal_Cancun/
JW Marriot http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/cunjw-jw-marriott-cancun-resort-and-spa/
CasaManga Marriot http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/cunmx-casamagna-marriott-cancun-resort/

Will add moon palace to the list as well.

Ideally looking for somewhere with as few children as possible and hopefully not to big a place!

CIA can i ask did you feel like it was a bit of a zoo there with 2000+ rooms?

No m8 it is spread out and you dont feel like its a free for all plenty of different restaurants to choose from and also its not in the centre of cancun, even though they allowed kids there we hardly noticed them

the poolside waitress service ftw..

we were supposed to have gone here adults only but the hurrincane stopped that!

Does it def have to be Cancun?  If an hour away suits just as well then stay at Playa Del Carmen instead
