Ok OK - just so Mr Raab (best Grosvenor poker bloke jobbie according to Tikay) can say he has the biggest poker tour I'll run a £500 buy in at my house, free tea and coffee and water, great dealer  Grin and the house only takes £50 juice per player. Bargain imo - sign up now.....max 7 players as that's all my dining room table can take!

As for the tour part - one game will be in the lounge and one in the kitchen - sorted.
Who's in?Huh??

Stick a free colonic in there and we've got a tour

I can see the ad now "play poker and get cleaned out!"

You could say its got a ring to it!

Great  - im delighted its not going ahead

Lets hope that Gala as a business go under in what is going to be a horrible recession! It is all they deserve for their none punter friendly attitiude - banning people left right and centre for no reason!

GFY Gala - there are many better place to play - and I for one will be delighted to see you go under - and I will be even more delighted if I get instructed to deal with your administration.

Selling off your assets would be very very sweet!

There is nothing in it for us so we arent doing it. That is an attitude which will get you nowhere in life!

lol go under! I'm sure those table games are helping them in this recession

Wow  - i was in a bad mood on Friday lol!

2 things - i obv got banned from gala for nothing - lol

and...FWIW........ I was by no means suggesting that a little poker tour being cancelled would send Gala bust. I was merely suggesting that in any recession where you have a sector dominated by several large players (eg casinos) - that frequently one of the said firms is highly likely to go into administration and face insolvency (esp in the service sector)!

All i was saying is that if that occurs - i wont shed a tear if Gala goes.

Hi all - an official statement from GCBPT Tour Manager Mark O'Donnell:

"While we’ve have had two fantastic years running the ‘Great British Poker Tours’, we’ve now decided to look at a number of new events and promotions for 2009 that will not only excite our players but are of great value and are accessible to poker players of all levels.

"Through our poker websites (galapoker.co.uk, coralpoker.com and eurobetpoker.com) we are already planning to run more satellites than ever to the world’s biggest poker tournaments including European Poker Tour  (EPT), World Series of Poker (WSOP) and Aussie Millions.

"Our online schedule also continues to evolve with over $14m guaranteed in prizes every month and includes Guest List – a $10k new player freeroll - as well a new weekly $300k ‘ChampionChip’. We are also looking at offering a number of other significant tournaments over the next couple of months. Details will appear on galapoker.com, coralpoker.com and eurobetpoker.com when these tournaments are confirmed."
