In Buda now. Arrived at the hotel a few hours ago which seems very nice. The staff exceptionally helpful. One of them recommended a restaurant for dinner so we went.

Had a bowl of goulash to start, which is absolutely gorgeous! Although I don't think the name makes it sound that way! Then onto the main we had wiener schnitzel (sp?), which was the biggest load of pork i've seen! But again, brilliant. The bill comes and its 8k. WTF! I have been robbed.

Oh, 8k Forint. Ah, just about £25. Bargain. The staff were so helpful friendly and the food delicious that I left a nice 5k tip

you sure it was pork rooks? they do a similar dish with beef from what i can remember. They also do a soup that is delicious that is actually served up inside a loaf of bread!

tried any unicum yet? absolutely disgusting drink yuk

Yeah was pork. Not tried that, prob got some in minibar but I think i'll pass.
