so most of the shrewdies are now airborn and me, Barbara and tommy are left back at the house in the scorching heat! Its the hottest day yet by a clear mile and from what i have heard its only going to get hotter. Now that the others have left and the whole dynamic has changed (especially for me as my girlfriend has been here for 8 days) i am looking forward to the weeks ahead but i am certain that they will not come close to the 5 weeks i had the pleasure of spending with the shrewdies...

Before the trip i had met most of the guys only once or twice before so as you could imagine i was a tad on the nervous side but for such a large group of guys there were literally no problems at all! I am quite lucky to have found 8 extremely funny and easy going guys to share my vegas experience with...."enough with the backslapping now" but i really enjoyed my time with the guys! Each and every person brought a different quality to the group and the balance worked out great.

Vegas has been a huge learning experience for me and i am definetly going to approach it differently in the future because i have now know what vegas has to offer! There are 2 ways you can approach vegas imo....gung-ho partying with a tad of poker or visa versa with major volume and minimal partying! I see alot of the youngsters partying hard and to be fair alot of them arent getting amazing results but are still getting by....whereas some of the older guys like julian thew and kimber are putting in alot of volume and they have duely been rewarded with some sick scores. Maybe this is down to the fact that they are better live players and they use their images well on the live circuit but i feel that there persistance and preperation has a huge part to play in there success. So the next month i am going to grind super hard! I will be putting in massive voulume for the rest of the venetian festival and when thats over i will be grinding the bellagio 1k's everyday. So far on the trip i have 16k of cashes and to be truthfull i had a much higher expectation heading into the trip! Now i realise how much preperation pays and if i cant learn from my mistakes then i am clearly an idiot....

Over the next 4 days i have to find a house for the rest of my time here (theres a house in line at the moment) and get ready for the huge grind that awaits. My girlfriend is with me at the moment and i am looking forward to the next 6 days with her. We have gone for some amazing food and done the whole "walk around for ages taking pictures of random statues" thing...which has been really fun for me (thats being serious to).

I think that next time i will try to come with a group of 6 or 7 just so people get beds when the house advertises it sleeps 12 when it clearly doesnt! Vegas is truely an amazing place but it is so easy to get caught up in the moment and spend so much money which im sure some of the guys have found. Usually i do not gamble at all but i have found myself putting $500 on sprts bets and going on mega craps spin ups! It is just so easy to lose touch of normality and before you know it your trying to tip people for "pressing the button in the lift" and "opening doors"...

in regards to who is the most annoying and who was the best etc etc i personally will not answer this because i had a good relationship (very different with each person) with each and every person in the house! I really saw alot of people come out of there shells and i can safely say this experience was fun for every person. I know some people had losing trips and some had winning trips but noone really won the world and we still had alot of fun! It will be so nice for me to get a result over the next few weeks and i am going to put in so much effort to top off my trip!

I will try to update regularly so i can keep on track and stay focused so please fire away any questions and any peices of advice you can offer.

On English soil now and straight into the new grind. While away myself and my dad (inthebelly/Turny), took over a snooker club in Dunstable. Landed at 10.30 today and am at the snooker club now, last saw the northerners leaving the airport heading for the minibus to take them home.

Keep the questions coming please guys!

Haha, more of a pool player tbh. We have pool, snooker, darts all here. My highest snooker break is probably only in the 40s but I played pool at county A level back in the day Cheesy
