Want to take the kids to Disneyworld this summer, wanted to know if anyone had any advice or tips before I book anything.
Not sure whether to stay in a hotel on site or try to get a villa nearby, all info appreciated.

I went when i was a teenager with my parents and we stayed in house in Kissimee(sp?), that was really good and the house was excellent with swimming pool etc. I would go with that personally and hire out a car.

Jen and I spent a miserable week in a damp motel somewhere near Orlando airport on our way back from New Orleans just after 9/11, eating nothing but McDonalds and, aside from one day at Disneyworld in a tropical storm, spending all our time on hold to British Airways. Their corporate theme tune still haunts me. I recommend you go with the house in Kissimee.

The car and house route, top place to be staying.  With a car you can also pop to the Gulf Coast as it's only an hour or two away and makes a lovely change from the hussle and bustle of Disney.

Yeah we went to Clearwater and that was a good day out, also there is the Kennedy space centre on the other coast which is well worth a visit.

^^Agree

I've stayed in the Holiday Inn on International Drive twice. That was cool and in close proximity of pretty much everything.

Depends how old your kids are man, if they are young a Disney Hotel might be the way to go, but I've never stayed in one of them or a Villa so can't really advise...
