get him to go for a walk in them everyday till they feel right

put zinc oxide tape round sensitive areas of the feet as protection for first few walks

as for sleeping bag i hope you didnt do what alot of people when i was young and bought the kids red or blue bags

also make sure he has and uses a sleeping bag liner it will save money on dry cleaning the bag

Cheers iron and no it was a green 1

sleeping bag is a goodun but it aint half  a struggle to wrap it tightly to get it back into its bag...

The trick is not to roll it!!!

ill take a pic of both later and show ya

would it not be easier to keep the small  bag in the bigger one rather than the other way round?

Have you not met her yet?  That Chicka knows how to stuff things in, so you might want to pay attention.

Boots caused no problems, sleeping bag was cool, 3 others had exactly the same,he done some rock climbing archery and shooting and this sunday he is doing flying with an instructor,(should be safe after the recent incident) BUT FFS he has to be at Sutton station @ 6.20 on sunday morning so we leave my house at 5.15 for him to go to Oxford would be easier to drive direct to Oxford but no can do grrrrrrrr
