Alan Mclean was the 11th place finisher - moving with  on the button (perfectly reasonable) he found Paul Traynor with  As on the small blind, and when the Ace came on the flop it looked pretty bleak for one of the main movers throughout this tournament.  No help and he was out, leaving the tables hand-for-hand.

Mickey Wernick is OUT.

Wernick bet from early position with  .

Paul Traynor reraises all-in.

Wernick calls.

Traynor shows As .

Board = Ah

We later learn that Anthony Nicholls folded  and would have eliminated both players.

While we wait for the final table to commence, here's some more pics - I think the staff find me weird insisting they all pose whenever they come by... ah well.  More when valets are summoned to the final, OK Iron?

Ahhh the old final start time... yes very very close!  There's liable to be about 20 minutes now, to be honest, before the final continues.  I smell buffet.  Here's a pic of the techies sorting out the lighting with the aid of a big 'chip stack' made of shiny shiny card protectors.

They have been given champagne and the photographer is snapping away - I got one of them too - here are the lot - the players, team bluesquare and the managers.

Hehe I thought so too, nun, but too nice to Jon to mention it...

The final table looks like this:

1  Dave Barnes    69,000
2  Ian Woodley   111,000
3  Barny Boatman  328,000
4  Stephen Wilsdon 174,000
5  David Clark        47,000
6  Luke Patten      157,000
7  Paul Traynor      400,000 (he's the sole remaining bluesquare online qualifier, in a hefty chip lead)
8  Darren Grosvenor 89,000
9  Anthony Nicholls  276,000

Greg Hill OUT -

Another victim of Anthony Nicholls, Greg saw him limp into a pot ("not an unusual occurrence") and found  Ah in the small blind.  He made it up, the bb checked, and the flop came A 2 Q.
This looked pretty good to Greg, who bet out 4k into a 5k pot, but he got raised by limper Anthony, whom he reasoned was unlikely to have a bigger Ace.  Therefore it all went in, and Anthony showed  , taking him out.

"He's got big chips, he's pushing them around a bit.  Although he's raised, I think I've got the best hand, it's that simple."

Anthony Nicholls: 208,000!  That certainly is big chips.

sat at home now reading the updates - on the drive home i concluded that this really was an easy fold - i am so annoyed at calling them all off with this hand but that anthony nicholls (who i know well) really could have had a raggy ace! - oh well, lots of catching up to do -

Luke Patten finds pocket kings but is unable to trigger any action from the rest of the table. He takes the blinds.
