Lawrence Gosney moves all-in from UTG+1, everyone folds. He shows .

Simon Trumper, "You've been waiting all this time for that monster?"

Soon after, he pushes again on the button and Hassan Irfan calls in the big blind.

Irfan:
Gosney:

......

Gutshot for Gosney means another short stack doubles up. We may have to start drinking soon.

Richard Hawes (who Dana thinks is secretly an Elf) has 2/3 of the chips in the £150 with 3 left.

Gurpreet Nagi raises to 50k with about 200k behind from the cut-off. Hassan Irfan sets him in from the big blind. Nagi sighs and calls.

Nagi:
Irfan:

...("Yes!" shouts Irfan, "Fives, baby!!!")...

He's tempted fate with this flop though, but blanks on the and river means that Gurpreet Nagi is OUT in 9th place winning £1,893. He played impressively well during the tournament, we'll probably see more of him. Irfan is close to chip leader with Doc, but there's still 6 other dwarves still in...

Well played Sunny! Next month... Smiley

Hurrah, short stack triple up! What could the updaters possibly enjoy more at 1am with 8 players still left in?

No, no, bitterness aside, Mr Peter Renkel has just now tripled up his micro-microstack.

All in with a sigh for just 39.5k (not even a min-raise) in mid position, he got himself called by both Hassan Irfan and Frazer Beattie, who proceeded to check down the board.

Board: three clubs two spades

Irfan:
Beattie: (suits the product of my imagination as I didn't see them)
Renkel:

Onwards we go 8-handed...

Incidentally, this is what they're playing for.

Shiny shiny, shiny bits of plastic...

Frazier Beattie moves all-in from the button.

He's called by the blinds.

They check a board down, where Doc shows and Newman shows . It doesn't matter though, Beattie has to treble up.

This table is beginning to seriously damage my calm...

Hassan Irfan spends a minute putting on his shades before raising to 100k. Steve Jelinek moves all-in next to him. Call.

Irfan:
Jelinek:

three clubs

Another short stack doubles up.
