Last night didn't fancy cooking so toasted thick cut white bread - bacon, blue cheese, slightly melted on the bacon in the pan and black olives (the particularly strong tasting ones from crespo)  - rather marv I found

mmmmmmmmmmmm - that sounds bloody gorgeous that does!

What moulded cheese not for me thanks  Cheesy

Mouldy cheese:  Good
Olives:  very very bad

That without the olives sounds very impressive

Secondly, smoked salmon and cream cheese with lemon and pepper on a bagel, topped with poppy seeds, the bagel gently grilled for 93 seconds prior to filling

Oooh sir, suits you sir.

Sounds like a front runner so far

Tuna, Mayo and red onion on 2 doorstep slices of fresh white uncut bread ... mug of builders and a packet of walkers ready salted ... it doesnt get better than that !

How are you preparing your sandwich made with uncut bread - are you just tearing a loaf of bread in half?

A preference of mine is to take whatever you might have as a proper meal - and just stick it in a sandwich.

off for a pot noodle sandwich

There's a pub in Dundee that serves a roll & mince.

Also I know a lot of guys up here who like a roll with a pie in it  idiot

If we have pie for T and there is some left Darren likes to put it between two slices.

What are the assorted sandwichistas opinion of more-ubiquitious-than-Starbucks sandwich outlet Subway?

I'm more than partial to a BBQ Rib patty on wheat (wheat selected as a token nod to healthiness) before getting BBQ sauce slathered all over it.

my grandfather, who I never knew as he died when my mother was young, used to eat a sandwich containing a frys cream chocolate bar.

my own favourite is when I am in the US - and can indulge in a proper "reuben" sandwich.

at lunchtime there I had a nice sandwich, rare roast beef and about half a ton of english mustard. the tears were stillstreaming down my face as wichita lineman romped to victory....
