Stack gone from 7000 to 16000, blinds 100-200, early limper, SB calls, you have 88 in the BB and make it 1100 total.
Limper folds, SB insta shoves for 9000 total. This is your third BB elevation and the SB had been busy in recent hands. What to do?

call so fast he shits himself, I see similar situatiuons to this live a lot, I would be guessing SB is on a small to medium pp, I would be surprised if he had overs.

Well thats what I see anyways.

So happy LeKnave simply quoted my post. On a night where I've done my bollocks this makes up for it.

I think sometimes you online guys may pay off live players a little light. Realistically how often is the SB shoving 45 bigs in in the 3rd level without 88 dominated?

Its possible he has AK/AQ and didn't want to raise oop but also has 1010 99 type hands here a lot too and we just don't need to get it in here this early.

Even if he shows 23 off this time round my thoughts are that if we played this hand 100 times and called every time our call would be -EV.

If sb has a good, but ultimately vulnerable pair, why would he limp after an ep limper? I can see him having 9-9/10-10 if it was bvb and Chompy had been punishing his sb limps. That's not a bad trap. But unless he thinks Chompy will raise that ep limp the trap with say J-J is useless, he would only be trapping himself. The key is the limp-insta-push imo cos I don't think 9-9 is big enough to avoid even a moments dwell really. Agree that A-K/A-Q could insta push but bigger pairs doing this (unless wtf A-A) is not a believable enough strat to stop me calling.

2) Call

5900 to win 14k means we should call if we're 42%.

I'd say this is most likely a flip, and an underpair is just about as likely as an overpair here.

The SB was stunned that I made the call imo but it was long odds-on with me that she had two overs and, sure enough, she did, 10J soooooted (diamonds). The first two cards out were diamonds but she missed. Ul, gg, wp.
