I'm being honest...I'd swap usually (for no real reason, superstitious idiocy really)
also, I would like to think I would deal on EVs with the proviso that the minimum sum I could win wouldn't be a pittance...£10k minimum would have been enough for me today to no deal
i reserve the right to shrink gonads where appropriate!!

Tough call today, although ...I WOULD HAVE DEALT !!! 30k makes a big difference, and i couldnt afford to end up with 10k .... losing 20k would hurt real bad .... remember the 30k is real money and i spose (like i keep saying) it all depends on what a difference to your life that the deal offers.
you are right, but the programme desperately needs some "money no object" gamblers..at the moment the banker knows that most people cannot turn down £30k when faced with the risk of a £20k drop so his final offer takes the piss
I would have no dealt and swopped...but the reality is that 90% of the people chosen to go on the show can't refuse these -EV offers and the banker knows it
No criticism of them, but the show would have another dimension if it had sick gamblers on it
+ or -EV doesn't really come into this show though Tighty.
EV is designed as a long term thing and theres only 1 time you will be in that situation in your life! unless your a gameshow whore i guess

Tighty, say you won £30k in a tournament and I asked if you wanted to flip a coin for £20k of it to win an additional £70k and you had 1 go what would you say?
At the end of the day this is a pure gamble and a one off shot. £30k tax free is a lot of money but personally I probably would gamble for the £100k in my current situation but I would always urge most people to deal in that spot. I'm with Kev on this one.
P.s would've swopped the box because the 100k was in it?

with a 10k saftey net I go for it.....70 upside and 20 downside on a coin flip.......spin the coin!!!

I imagine it will be the worst show ever, first thing she'll do is ring the banker and ask for a deal!

delighted for her. most contestants so far would've taken that deal or the one before but she played it right and got what she deserved
