I like the idea. But I just don't get why we would have to pay you to advertise Blonde? Surely you should want to be giving these out to any blonde member that wants to wear them at live events?

Yes, in an ideal world we would love to give 2 or 3 to everyone who wanted them ... unfortunately we dont have the money to do so.

The idea of buying them in the first place were for updater's/qualifiers on blonde to live events ... but they are expensive unless you order large quantities, so we placed an initial order of 300.

Plus a lot of blondes never play festival events or majors that are covered by updates, yet play at their local casino or cardroom regularly and would like to spread the word about blonde.

Recently we had the big debate about blondes finances, and lots of people said they would happily donate via a pay pal button or do this /that/the other to help, well this is a way for people to help promote blonde, and give something back for the cost of a quid and a stamp.

All the pound coins that find their way through my letterbox, will be used to reorder more of the badges and ensure that we always have them available to us.

Plus it will be a laugh when people start sending in snap shots of their blonde badge in weird and wonderful locations ... It would be great to get pics of the blonde badges on tour, I hope we get a gallery going of badges being photographed on peoples holidays, stuck on different people etc ... I will be sending a couple (which I will pay for myself) to a couple of pals in the forces and get them to send photos from their travels.

Its not compulsory for everyone to buy 1, but its an option for anyone that would like one, to get one.

We have had some embroidered badges made, they are 3" x 2" and have a peel & stick backing.

peel and stick?

surely they will fall off and were better getting the woman in our lives to sew them on

And yes, if you would rather sew them on, you could do... peel and stick is for ease of use for people not wanting to sew them onto their armani T-shirts Wink

the badges will, they will lose their stickability (good word) most probably ... but they will survive a wash, if people want to sew them onto a cap or a shirt, they will be fine.

So although there has been no post over the weekend, Booder drops me a note to say "got my badges" ... now I am thinking, "no you havent, I never even got a letter from you" ...

He then goes onto say ... "I sent a stamped addressed envelope and was amazed to see it pop through the door this morning, then I opened it and realised that I had put your name and address on the envelope inside the self addressed one" ...DOH !
