I rate Van Der Sar highly, but how much was he the reason ManYoo were keeping clean sheets? I ask you this as you watch their games more than I do, but I think Vidic annd Ferdinand/Evans + Carrick were maybe more of a reason why they kept that many clean sheets.
Spot on. He has looked dodgy over the past few games when there has not been a stable back four in front of him. It's an impressive clean sheet record, but I think that the credit goes more to the defensive unit in front of him than his keeping abilities this season.

No Tevez = No justice
Fair comment, and I really like his workrate for the team, but would he be in his clubs starting XI with everyone fit ?
He's started half the games this season and scored 3 goals.

My team
Schwarzer
Bosingwa
Ferdinand
Vidic
Clichy
Ronaldo
Gerrard
Carrick
Young
Anelka
C Cole
Some unfashionable names, but they have all been outstanding this season. Davies for Bolton has been excellent but I chose Cole because Davies is a donkey. ;-)
LOLZ @ Carlton Cole.
Thought your team was serious until then.

good job I saved him til last.
who would you pick instead? Agbonlahor maybe but the last 2 months he's been poor. Berbs, Adebayour, Drogba, Van Persie and Torres have all been hot and cold or injured. Davies deserves a mention but at least Cole has *some* pedigree. ;p

Pawprint, this is season 08/09 right?
lol, sure is.
Look, the PFA shortlist gives you 6 players, so I am adding 5 to that.
Essien (Okay, hardly played, but I struggle to find a consistent right back this season in the prem)
Evra
Fabregas (Not played loads, but has started in more than half Arsenals games, and more than Giggs, and has been class when playing)
Torres
Rooney (Has been United's most consistent striker this season. Again others deserve a shout, Davies and Agbonlohor for definite)
It's just an opinion. Personally I think that the PFA Shortlist is wrong, but as someone mentioned previously, that's voted for by the players, so what do I know ?

Bosingwa, Glenn Johnson, even Corluka at spurs. ;-)
United fans eh, just because they don't have a consistent RB, the whole footballing world don't!

Obv im bias but i think Arbeloa has improved a hell of alot this season, also Alonso really needs to be mentioned if Gerrard is in then Xabi deserves a spot.
Other players who have impressed this season imo
Clichy
Davies
Agbonlahor
Young
Fellaini
Jagielka
Shawcross
