Anyone got any clues for value in the 2nd round matches? I used to be a bit shrewd on the snooker and just useless at everything else but i've not been able to follow it since Sunday so not sure how many of them are playing. I think Murphy could be a good price against Fu at 10/11 on betfair if he can get over the health issues before the match. Ding v Hendry is interesting both played poorly in first round but scrapped through, Hendry came steaming out of the blocks but Ding at his best can steamroller opponents if he gets well in front. I may have a gamble Hendry flys out of the blocks again at 6/4 and lay it back in running if it happens. Ding doesn't really appeal as an all the way bet at 8/13. Maguire looking pretty awesome tonight.

Murphy's head isn't right either, his wife has just left him He was awful first round but pulled it out from 7-7 I'll be on Fu.

Murphy's head isn't right either, his wife has just left him He was awful first round but pulled it out from 7-7 I'll be on Fu. She left him 6 months, but threatened to file for divorce the day he played his first game... He also hasnt spoken to his dad for 2 years, and his mum walked out on him at 14... He's probably the most unlikely candidate to have such turbulance if you just met him or heard him doing an interview!!

0.5pts Davis to beat Robertson @ 5.3 Lost 3pts Day -2.5 frames v Lee @ 2.0 Won 1pt Lay over 10.5 Fifty breaks Day v Lee @ 2.24 Won 1pt Holt +3.5 frames v Higgins @ 1.95 Pending
Running total -3.41pts
0.5pts Day to win outright @ 26 0.5pts Hendry to win outright @ 38
2pts Hendry to beat Junhui @ 2.6 1pt O'Sullivan -5.5 frames v Allen @ 2.6
With regard to the 2nd round matches, the banker bet is Day against Bond. I know i have come unstuck once backing against Bond, but no-one could have forseen Ebdon playing so badly. Day should beat him about 13-4. Hendry is way too big against Ding at 2.6. Although he is not the player he was, Ding is not in good form and really struggles with confidence. Hendry on the other hand always keeps his cool, even in the first round against Williams when he was 7-5 down he didnt panic, and although Williams pretty much handed it to him he played okay. O'Sullivan shouldnt have too many problems against Allen and Selby the same against Dott. Carter against Robertson is going to be a close match - Robertson played very well against Davis and on his day could beat anyone. Carter though proved last year he is good enough so this one will be very close. As for Murphy against Fu, well its flip a coin time, although at the moment i am leading slightly towards Fu.

Have gone with Hendry at 8/5, Ding has only ever won 2 matches at the Crucible and Hendry despatched him at the same stage last year 13-7. May look to lay it back in running if he gets a couple ahead but doesn't look to be playing any better than 1st round.

Ronnie not looking great in play but if he goes better than 1/2 this is surely a must bet.

I cannot remember seeing Ronnie play as bad as he did last night for a long long time. Something was obviously wrong with him last night and it will be interesting to see whether he comes out today and plays the same, or just as likely wins 6 or 7 of the afternoon session frames!!!
1pt Holt +3.5 frames v Higgins @ 1.95 Lost 0.5pts Day to win outright @ 26 Pending 0.5pts Hendry to win outright @ 38 Pending 2pts Hendry to beat Junhui @ 2.6 Pending 1pt O'Sullivan -5.5 frames v Allen @ 2.6 Pending
Running total -4.41pts
7pts Day to beat Bond @ 1.21 3pts Day -3.5 frames v Bond @ 1.7
