I was in the waiting room of an "emporium" or "parlour" of sorts, & the reading choice in the rack was The Sun, Mens Health, or the Daily Mail. Not an easy choice, that. [/quote]
Probably best not to ask what sort of parlour!

to be perfectly honest, why are u grilling here about what is an obvious typo? editors sometimes fuck up when things are being thrown around and when she finishes writing this at 5am i doubt her proof reading is always gonna be 100% spot on. Give ppl a break and grow up.
Seriously, why would you post this?
why would i not post this? This is a poker discussion forum. I wanted to discuss something poker related. Pretty sure I'm not out of line to point out that the biggest supplier of players to the WSOP doesn't just have bad advice but mathematically incorrect advice on their website. But hey I guess I need to grow up, sorry for bothering you.

Just been reminded of something that struck me as odd last night. Was half watching EPT coverage on channel 4 last night and Vicky was co-commentating. As one guy bust out of the tournament, he wished good luck to one of his table companions. Coren made a very odd comment which I'm not going to paraphrase here in case I've remembered it wrong - anyone else see it?
when riley said good luck to ruthenburg? he doesn't mean it. he looks around at everyone still in action and he just wants them all dead

Very strange thing to say I thought. Isn't that what everyone thinks playing poker though. It's more of a compliment. You might say good luck to your oppo when you're all-in but you don't mean it, you want them dead, cos you are a hard-ass player. If she actually meant that he wanted to kill all the other players I agree that would be more serious.

I watched this and thought she was saying what she thought when she got knocked out. Projecting her own thoughts onto him. He seemed a nice guy and if it had been me I would have been mightily miffed that she had suggested thats what I thought. To suggest that he hoped they would all die was the sort of comment that would get you chat banned on PS surely?
Personally I thought her commentary was not the best I've heard, her impressions of various players accents was not needed and didn't enhance the broadcast at all.

Yeah that's what I thought Trace. Made me wonder if this is a common feeling when busting out of a comp because I've certainly never felt that way!

The game is much better when it's very competitive like that. Some of the best local players I come up against regularly have their own unique expressions for this phenomenon. D Sami wants to "cut you up" (not to be confused with slicing which is different), Con Cronin wants to "send you home talkin to yourself" and this old guy called Ron wants to "piss on you all". That's great isn't it? I can confirm all 3 are hard-ass players.
