It undoubtedly changed the game

However.... it wasn't the worst decision in the world by the ref. You can certainly see why he gave it.

it wasnt a penality in the replay, but if i was the ref i would have given it aswell

Didn't look at all like a pen in real time and it certainly wasn't from the replays. Throrougly enjoyed this thread though.

Having seen it again a few times the ref gets it wrong, but given his positioning and with one opportunity to see it in real time I can see how he could give it, I still think this sort of decision is given up and down the country every week, or not given when there is a genuine pen in a similar situation. I suppose it's just a form of variance. The only way to stop this kind of award is a video ref to check when a penalty is awarded.

No different than any outfield player getting a "touch" then going through the player IMO.

Irrespective, doesn't change the fact that Spurs' bottle crashed.
