yeah the turn strikes me as a bit weak, that's where you lost the pot. Anything other than a 9 on the river is not likely to be ideal...make him pay to hit if you think he's floating.

help a little fishy out here flushy, can you explain turn bet more pls? I don't understand why it isn't turning a weak made hand into a bluff??? If he raises our turn bet we are doing what? If he calls we do what on river? What if river is  or something instead?

This for me shows what it is like playing from out of position. It feels like you're always guessing. No decisions are ever easy oop and sometimes no matter what you do your options suck,especially against a good thinking aggressive player.
If you lead the flop, then check the turn, you invite a bet from our opponent, these can be a bluffs,semi-bluffs or made hands.If we lead again turn and they re-raise what do we do,if they call what is our plan on the river? so urgh wtf

If you check called the turn and check called the river you'll likely pay about the same as a check raise but you will get more money from the hands you beat - the hands that will fold to a c/r but might bet the river. You still lose to the big hands either way.

Fair question; main reason for me is that he might not bet...too many crap cards on the river. I like to make people pay a bit to hit.
