4NL button hand vs maniac in SB

Interesting hand that I played last night and am not sure if I completely butchered the hand or if I played it right.

I've made my standard raise of pot from the button and have been called by the SB who is playing 74/20 over a small sample of 71 hands. It's the first time I've come across him. No notes (I updated HEM last night and lost all my notes somehow) but from what I remember he had a high fold to c-bet (75%). So I c-bet 90% for a few reasons:

1. Flush draw. I don't want to give him the odds.
2. If he has a worse Q he will definitely check-call all the way down and I want to maximise the value of my hand.

if he has a high fold to cbet then overbetting a flop that you've hit hard makes no sense. you can bet less and still price out the fd while allowing him to call with more hands that you crush

Well his VPIP is miles higher than his PFR and his 75% fold to cbet suggests he's playing fairly passively and folding when his hand doesn't hit he flop, though a PFR of 20 is quite high he's nearly only raising 1/4 of the hands he plays which is pretty bad.

I like the bet sizing on the flop, if he's going to be check calling any Qx any PP and any flush draw lets go for max value, we only really lose to AQ and a random 7 here, but since he is playing 75% of his hands it's more likely we have him beat.

The turn is a nice blank, firing a close to pot sized bet again here and just going for max value, if he suddenly puts in a big check raise on the turn he's probably going to have some random 7x hand and I'd probably just let it go, unless I had any reads where he played any top pair hands really aggressively.

If he flats and the river is a blank I'm firing again, if he has AQ then we were just unlucky.

dude, level? ffs bet.

he has a tonne of shit queens, flushdraws, random bullshit and the odd 7. Bet to get value from your hand now (like u only get 2 streets of value from the bulk of his range flop and turn) and to protect it. If the board was rainbow perhaps u can check back the turn to ensure 2 streets of v (from like 88) but then thats probably too elaborate way to get value out of a 74/20!

Not a level - I'm new to 6-max cash, hence playing 4NL.

I did bet, 90% of the pot. Villain tank-called again and the river paired the 2.

He checked and I checked behind to have A7 put in my eye. I was just unsure if I played it right and got unlucky.

Got some nice info from him though - he check-calls with the nuts.
