Richard,
The Holiday Inn Express do a special rate for Alea of £65 for Bed n Breakfast. I think you might even be able to shop around online and find a better rate than that tho. They are right next door to the casino.
Holiday Inn Express
Armouries Drive
Clarence Dock
Leeds
LS10 1LE
Tel:- 0871 423 4942
Or if you want something cheaper the Etap hotel do rooms for £36 per night. It is only a 5 minute walk from the casino, and it is opposite the bus station/National Express.
Etap Hotel
2 The Gateway North
Crown Point Road
Leeds
LS9 8BZ
Tel:- 0113 245 0725

Jurys inn is also a couple of minutes away. Sometimes very good rates there.
The holiday inn express is next dor but two virtually and has a decent sized lobby and bar area (for a holiday innexpress).
The etap is next door to me. Ive never been in. Very basic is about the most complimentary thing I have heard about it, but as long as its clean then it would be good value, being able to sleep three in a room. Jurys and Etap are the same distance from ALEA.
I have a tenancy in Leeds until 19th September. If I dont manage to sublet it when I move to London... party at mine!
