Official word is we play til 14 are left tonight to avoid anyone playing short handed

Of course then, with more runners expected tomorrow, play has to then stop at exactly the same point

So short days for me today and fri..long day Saturday!

Is Trigg happy about being chipleader? Has he celebrated this fact in any way?

He is probably bemoaning the fact that the carpet on the floor is stopping him form throwing some groovy moves.

Steve Jelinek has eliminated Chris Wright

Ganesh Rao raised, Chris flat called and Steve re-raised out of the blinds. Ganesh passed but Chris, getting short, called all in

Steve 99 v Chris AQ and an all rag board eliminates Wright

He is a model of decorum. In fact his skull chip protector shows more life than he does, Trigg has a very quiet and determined table presence. Saving the shapes for when they matter, they'd be wasted on these players

David Powley has eliminated Sture Saxrud

Powley had raised to 1,400 and Saxrud re-raised all in from the blinds for 7,000 more...about half Powley's remaining stack

Powley thought about it for ages and eventually called

Powley

Saxrud

board

We're down to 31 runners

George MacDonald had a rough ride today. The coup de Grace of his exit came when AK lost to A10, all in pre, ten on the flop.... but most of the damage was done earlier when Pocket Kings ran into Paul Gardener's AQ, Queen on flop, Queen on river

Exact chip counts will be coming at the end of the break in 40 minutes

For the time being the top five chip leaders are

Andrew Seden
Rick Trigg
Mo Muse
Steve Jelinek
Carlo Citrone

in that order, all 30,000+
