http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counties_of_Ireland

lists Londonderry with footnote - often referred to as Derry.  Londonderry therefore correct.

Oh hush!  Most given correct is sheep, ffs

so we are now completely ignoring the rules set out in op. is that correct?

at least that gives us hope that we might ignore the questions as well

Look, if I was wrong at least I was consistently wrong throughout...so just work with me and get over it!

The answer most commonly given is called the sheep

so, as claire pointed out, why isn't usa the sheep answer?

Because it was a fail

But it was the most given, therefore sheep.

Oh hush!  Most given correct is sheep, ffs

sigh objection to Londonderry fail.  Is it a fail because it should be 'Derry' or coz it's in the north?

I will explain the deciders on this one.  I was originally failing it mainly as it's not in what I consider to be Ireland.  However, as I failed to say Eire or Republic of Ireland, I went with my second reaction when I first read their answers...it's feckin DERRY!!!!

I consulted a number (half a dozen, there or thereabouts) of teachers in the area.  They all sided with ye on the Ireland argument, however they concurred with me on the Derry vs. Londonderry issue.  So there you have it

Hmmmm I still object to that according to various maps why isn't just called fecking Derry then  Grin

How about you just post all the answers, we can then mark them individually, using any rules that take our fancy at the time, just like your doing.

+1 autofail imo.  if he's gonna look it up he should at least keep quiet about not knowing a correct answer first.
