Jesus, Tom segal does it again...tips up Cima De Triumph at 14-1 this morning...wins at 4-1. That man is just ridiculously good.

[ ] I was on as I could see it winning myself
[ ] I love watching the racing as much as I used to now that I only have a bet occasionally (I still watch them all)
[X] I am much happier now that I only have a bet on the horses when I really fancy them.
[X] I am much more profitable.
[X] I hate Tom segal
[X] I want to be his bestest friend

Having too many bets is a massive problem for me, and most gamblers, as it's in our instinct to bet on anything that moves. As boldie says, you need restraint and picking bets is key - even if it means limiting yourself to only a handful of bets a week max.

This is spot on.  I normally start off okay, but then end up betting on 4 or 5 tennis matches in a day for the hell of it.

I have used some poker winnings to start a new staking plan, and am determined to limit the number of bets i have.  In the 2 weeks it has been going i have placed only 6 bets and 2 of those are long term on next season's football.  I have even managed to keep away from all individual matches in the tennis.
1. I really hope i can keep this discipline going
2. I really hope it will be more profitable in the long run than most of my staking plans!

And as Boldie said - if it was easy to turn £100 into £800 in a weekend then everyone would be doing it.

Don't be shy...

Hull and Stoke to get relegated.
Hull at 6/4 and Stoke at 3/1 (on betfair)
Hull should have gone this season, only for a couple of freak away wins and the rest of the teams at the bottom being so bad in the run-in.
Stoke could well suffer the 2nd season syndrome and a lot of teams will work out how to play them better.
