To be fair to Fergie he said he wouldn't sell to them under the old regime. I think Perez has gone by things a little bit better.
All the reports are that the deal was done with the old regime. The deal with Ronaldo was. Not the deal with United. This is Perez.

FORMER REAL MADRID PRESIDENT RAMON CALDERON "It's going to be a big event for Real Madrid - Ronaldo is going to add a lot to my club. "Last season, Manchester United decided not to do it because they thought it was too early. Everyone involved in the operation agreed to do it this season. That is what I can say. "I don't mind that I was unable to sign him during my presidency. I am a Real fan and I'm very happy. The most important thing is the club. "Real are very well organised with a lot of income, and the new president [Perez] can now spend the money I made and saved. "We needed to improve by one or two players, and that's what Perez has done by signing Kaka and Ronaldo."

[ ] I'm shocked Calderon would make that claim [X] He'd still be president if he had an agreement in place
Ramos confirmed he is not surprised as they had a pre-contract agreement with Ronaldo and it was a matter of time before United sold

Apparently real Madrid are furious this morning after they were informed they could have bought a big girls blouse from Primark for £ 4, rather than the £80 million they paid.

Have to say I'm delighted with the news, it's a win-win situation for me as a Liverpool fan.
1. Man utd are losing a gtd shit load of goals and the team will be weakened alot imo.
2. I get to see the back of the biggest muppet to ever play in the prem, no more whinging, crying, hissyfits or lies coming out of his mouth.
Who seen the interview Ronaldo did with himself? Sums him up completely.

All the reports are that the deal was done with the old regime. The deal with Ronaldo was. Not the deal with United. This is Perez. Disagree. Pretty much every piece of news out of Spain suggests it was done last summer. Everything since then has just been keeping the fans off his back and trying to stop Utd looking like a smaller club than Real.

Calderon is only claiming it was done 6 months ago so i wouldn't take too much notice of those reports.

Real are in financial terms but only cos they know if they fuck up they have the state to buy them up. Like when they sold their training ground for some ridiculous price and leased it back
