Just caught up with the opening episode from the League of Gentlemen guys.Available to watch on iplayer.Episode 2 next Wednesday on BBC2.

Terrific show full of the dark humour associated with these talented writers.

Its one of those marmite things isnt, so i can understand why tom might not like it.

The league of gentleman was one of the best programmes ever on telly, no doubt about it.
Over 75% of the population probably hated it though. All a matter of opinion imo!

The mighty boosh = an even better programme, pure class
Mighty Boosh + Normal Person = look of pure confusion

I doubt it. He's prob one of those blinkered folk that hold the view that all Light Entertainment on TV is tosh.

Bring back Sunday Night at the London Palladium, I say. Started with the Tiller Girls, then a Compere/Comedian, then a proper comedian, next up a singer, then Beat The Clock, then a juggler, another comic, then a big name act like Norman Wisdom or Harry Worth, then the best bit, when they'd all get on that revolving stage.

Da da, di da de da da da da, da da, di di de da da da da, da da, da de da da, da de da, de da, de da da da.

They don't make telly like that any more.

I've just caught up with this on iplayer.

Brilliant! I miss the LoG, and whilst this is obviously different you can see the similarities.

The characters are really good, and Mr Jelly's backstory was suprisingly sad.

My favourite bit so far though has to be the ebay auction. Esp with an hour or so to go the comments of "don't bid yet, we don't want the seller to work out it's valuable and pull the auction". And lol @ the £9000.1 bid that would clearly be rejected.
