Chris Phillips makes it 85,000 in the small blind

Nigel Turver pushes in the bb

"I will have a gamble with you"

Phillips has to call

Phillips J8 off

Turver A7 off

Board 4-8-2-7-K

Nigel Turver is out in 6th winning £3,922

During this hand I was quite disappointed actually, as a fan of poker etiquette

Don't think I approve of other players (not all of them, just the odd comment) not in the hand clenching their fists and exclaiming "yes" when the 8 dropped and saying "No Ace" before the turn

I suppose its just competitive stuff in the heat of the moment but I don't suppose it made Nigel feel any better about the outdraw he had just suffered

For a couple of these players, the money clearly means an awful lot, nothing wrong with that, but that has often been reflected in their play and I would contend some behaviour.

No excuse for it!!

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Chris Phillips raises with 7-4 off (might as well raise any two any hand with his stack)

Andrew Purser raises all in for a little bit more with A-3 off

8-2-A-7-8

Short-stack Andrew doubles up

break counts

Phillips 1,971,000
Hodson 663,000
Purser 350,000
Underwood 200,000

Phillips has raised every hand since the break, all uncontested.

The bottom two especially are going to have to make a stand soon

Quite tricky for them to play though with the payout structure in £k 28/16.5/10/7
