REVERSE SHEEP QUIZ 26 - THE ONE IN ALL CAPS AND WITH ROBERT'S RULES
«
on:

Make sure to read the rules, there's a few important things in there.
Good luck!
RULES
There are 13 questions, most of which have a limited answer set, so there shouldn't be too many objections. PM me your answers by
Tuesday 14th July, at 2.30pm
. Put the answer to each question on a seperate line, along with the corresponding question number.
The objective of the quiz is to score the least number of points possible.
Your score for each question is the number of people who give the same correct answer. So you want to go for answers that you think will be less commonly given. Levelling commonly happens. The answer most commonly given is called the sheep, with the corresponding sheep score.
If you give an incorrect answer you will recieve the sheep score + one half of the total number of answers given rounded up.
You have
two
passes. Their use is optional. If you pass a question you will score 0 for that question. If you don't use your passes and still win the quiz then you get to be awesome.
Any questions post in this thread (or PM), but don't post your answers obv.
The reveal will be
Tuesday 14th July, at 8pm
.
During the reveal objections to answers is allowed, but they must be made before the scoring for that question is finalised.
In the event of a tie then the winner is the first person to post "I am a fish" after I have revealed the final scores.
There is a "special answer" to one of the questions which will recieve a special bonus of -10 points to anyone who selects this answer. If multiple people select this answer then the amount of people who select it is ignored for the purposes of determining the sheep score.
QUESTIONS
1. Robert's Rules of Poker defines 10 different scenarios which can cause a misdeal. In some cases the misdeal may be called as the cards are being dealt. In others it may be called after the cards are dealt, but before 2 people have acted upon their hands. Describe to me one of the the 10 scenarios. Be as specific as you can - I will classify your answer as the scenario I suspect you're reffering to.
2. Download Festival 2009 was recently held at Donington Park. Name a band who has headlined the main stage of the festival from 2003 and onwards.
3. Name a football team who has been relegated from the premier league, and since then also relegated from the championship (aka division one in the old days).
4. I own a rather nice set of poker chips, with printed denominations. When playing a tournament the starting stack is 5,000. Name one of the denominations of chips in my set. If you're feeling confident I have a couple of denominations you might not expect for the sake of a complete set...
5. Super Mario Kart Wii contains many playable characters, all taken from a variety of Nintendo games. Name one of them. (One of the characters that is).
6. Name a Motorway that goes through Lancashire.
7. Name one of the tracks from "Greatest Hits" by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
8. Terry Pratchett has written over 30 Discworld novels. Name one of them.
9. Name something you might expect to find in a bedroom. SPECIAL NOTE: non-ace answers will incur a 5 point penalty.
10. Name a country in Europe beginning with a consonant. Contrary to rulings by previous QMs I require that all answers are given in English.
11. Name a chemical element beginning with the letter "c".
12. The Dusk Till Dawn monthly £300 deepstack game starts with 10,000 chips and has a 45 minute clock. Name one of the first 10 levels, and give me that level's small blind, big blind, and ante. If there is no ante then say 0 for the ante.
13. Give the name (real name, not blonde username) of one of the 10 shrewdies as given in the first post of "SHREWDIES ON TOUR 2009".

WTF?
How much and what did you smoke before concocting these?
About as far removed from the RSQ ideal as possible
p.s WTF is Lemmings?
Malta in Eurovision WTF?
THREE repeat questions from past quizzes (pure QM laziness that)
The reveal should be extraordinary.
However my overriding concern is WTF?

Saved me writing that.
Utter farce already. You reckon that there'll be few objections!!! 20 questions, lots of objections, start the reveal early otherwise they'll have to close the roof and put the lights on to play to the finish...

the main thing that made rsq on blonde a success in the past was the interactivity. the arguing of objections back and forth between qm and entrants and the
goodnatured
abuse.
in recent weeks several qms have taken to completely ignoring objections and just soldiering on regardless rendering the whole reveal process pointless. for this reason I decided to hang up my rsq boots and go into retirement recently but I thought I'd just check back to see what you've done with this one and I find this

I reserve the right to completely ignore any objection that I don't think is worth my time writing a reply for.
awesome, you've actually written it into the rules now. institutionalised blandness
those of you that are happy sending in your answers and then coming back on reveal day to pick up your scores without any interactivity then I'm pleased for you, have fun. however it's really not for me so my retirement will continue. gg rsq

Dont worry, I will do my best to answer all objections. I only put that in there as a disclaimer unless we get a daft number of objections on a single question and I deem it neccesary to move on. I don't think I will have to invoke this rule however.
I'm good with numbers/spreadsheets/etc and think I can keep up with objections and keep the reveal going at a fast pace. Your reveal enjoyment can be trying to break me and prove me wrong lol
Tighty: I highly recommend you get yourself an Amiga emulator and a Lemmings ROM...

Do people think it'd be better if I cut the number of questions and keep to a more standard format then?
