Do you have a spare PSU you can plug into it? Usually a good place to start.

Kettle lead should be ok though eh? I thought a power lead was a power lead.

I'd try a new lead first.  Power unit sounds likely, had a similar problem myself a bit back that was the psu.

Did it actually make a noise when you turned it on?

Is the mouse wireless?

Only sound was like the phut of the soft power button shorting or something. Now nothing.

It's a wired PS2 optical. Thanks

Where electronic items are concerned "phut" is one of the worst possible noises to hear.

Unplug it completely for 10min. Then try again.

If that doesn't work, turn it off and reset BIOS, try and power it back up.

If that doesn't work, well I'll be back.

As he hasn't asked he poss knows?Huh? There is a clear CMOS (BIOS) jumper on the motherboard, or a lithium battery you could take out.

Does your power supply have a power switch on the back? Check this is in the on position. This should prob have been step 1!
