Good effort sir, if you're doing 600-cal sessions you are in proper weight burning territory.

I'm gonna be looking to do 5 x 600-calorie sessions a week for three months in the new year.

[ ] I can't wait

Be good coming out the other end though. Great routine to get into.

Just back from the gym. Another good session on the treadmill doing another PB. I covered 5.08km in 45 minutes burning over 600cals so im very happy about that. I might up that to a 60 minute session tomorrow. Will probably be able to to 6.2km in an hour.
I think its better to run more at 45 mins then run at the same speed for a longer amount of time.
I think the higher the intensity the better as your body could adapt to the same speed.
Do you go to the gym yourself? I find it alot lot better when with a friend as you can encourage each other.

I think you should train up and do a 10k running event. And make it into a prop bet or run for charity. I will happily give you £2 for every min under 60 and £1 under 75

But keep it up (Y)

Disagree with that bit (not like someone to disagree with the advice given on this thread Cheesy).

Ideally, you want to be on your feet for as long as possible, and that'll provide the biggest benefit.  Best to build up the endurance and then look to improve on the speed.  Either way is better than not doing anything at all of course.

Just got back from this mornings session! I didn't do 60 minutes today but I did another PB completing 5.12km in 45 minutes burning 620 calories! Pretty happy with this mornings session as I didn't feel I had enough energy to do it this morning!

Busy day today as I'm off for me roots doing then gonna go look for a nice shirt in a smaller size with my crimbo money! Smiley

i gave up smoking for new year last year and succeeded after 20 years ...thus putting on two stone.

i am currently weighing 17 stone would like to get back to 15 just so my work trousers fit!!
anyone want prop bet for the new year?
a multi way bet could be fun and give us some motivation?

I will, I was 17st but will be 16 by new year if all goes to plan. Fwiw, I think mentally it's worth starting before Ian, but each to their own.

My target is 14st but 15st is more like my natural weight!

How do you want to do it?
