Working tonight and then I've got tomorrow off!

I'm going to see Roy 'Chubby' Brown at the Frontier at Batley. Seen him twice before and i get his DVD for crimbo every year. Not everybody's cup of tea but i like him so that's all that matters!
i used to really like chubby brown and have seen him live a few times over the years at the old stardust and nottingham ..

the last show i went to was pants...gone really downhill he got heckled as always, he stormed off the stage and kept the whole crowd waiting for twenty odd Min's refusing to come back on unless the hecklers got ejected......tosser

Morgans tavern and stardust have some good tribute acts and comedians on! Albi senior is worth a watch he's like a chubby brown comedian! The boyzone lads are pretty good! Obv have to see sticky Vicky or her daughter who looks fit on the posters!!

Careful what u eat as benidorm is know for the shits! I got em so I'd take some imodium tablets that work wonders!! I wouldn't get ice in drinks either!

I did this a little while back for some lads on another forum Girgy, some links down there that'll see you right m8

This site tells you a bit about almost every Casino/Hotel in Vegas. Although some of the info is a little dated, on the whole it's pretty accurate with the insight to each establishment.

http://www.cheapovegas.com/index.php

Flights

Virgin

Virgin now fly from Manchester and Gatwick so giving an ideal point for you guys way oop there to fly direct too.

http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/index.jsp

London Gatwick - Vegas are daily as below

1125am-1410pm

1640pm-1030am (overnight)

Manchester - Vegas flights are Thursday and Sunday at the times below

1320pm-1550pm

1820pm-1205pm (overnight flight)

British Airways

BA also run a daily direct service from Heathrow with a more poker player orientated flight time. I'll be flying with them this year should I go and then will be able to review them

1625pm-1845pm

2045pm-1430pm (overnight flight)

Flights and Package sites

www.skyscanner.net

Will give you the best price on flights available in different varieties, both direct and with stops as filtered by you. Very easy to use and sources from almost every airline.

www.ebookers.com

www.expedia.co.uk

You can often find a good value 'Flight & Hotel' package using the above two sites. I found 12 nights at the IP for £830 26th June to the 7th July looking on ebookers.

Hotels

I've stayed at quite a few hotels on the strip and off for varying periods of time over the last few years so will post some links for booking then give my opinions on the ones I have stayed in.

www.harrahs.com

This will give you an idea of the figures you will pay for each hotel in the Harrahs chain. If you can then find it cheaper anywhere else on the net they will match the price.

http://www.i4vegas.com/

http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/

These are all worth a hunt round to price up your trip and should give you a good indication of what the cost is gonna be. There are often good deals on the last link there giving discounts. Langers and Pete got 25% off there hotel last year I believe for booking early.

www.priceline.com

Priceline might be something some of you may be interested in as it's a bit of a gamble. You enter in the type of hotel you want and the location. 5* 4* 2* etc. it picks one out and you stay there at a discounted rate. I've not done it but could be worth a go if that floats your boat.

www.smartervegas.com

Smartervegas has some good deals with discounts at a ton of Vegas hotels. Always worth a look around before you book anywhere, you might just save an extra few bucks!!

Just getting the car valeted at the local drive in. Cost £10 for a wash dry tyre shine Hoover polish and windows done and they throw in an air freshner! Pretty good value considering how much hammer my car take on s daily basis!

I kinda wished I'd got into the car valet business before all these garage wash places started cropping up as I bet they are a decent earner!!

I bought my car second hand as I had a small van to trade in and I got a 1 company owner  ford Mondeo on a 55 plate with 107k on the clock. I've just gone past 134k in under 7 months!!

Car has cost me a small fortune in the last 6 months also! £400 bill just before crimbo, £550 last month and I'm getting it diagnosed for £90 2moro for a problem that is gonna cost £500 min to fix Sad

Also needs an council mot at the end of the month to the tune of £170 for the vehicle license plate! Not to mention the £155 road tax I paid at the start of the month!

So being a taxi driver is pretty costly!!

Obv it's an expensive business if you do 30k in 7 months in a 5YO car that already has 107k on the clock.

Surely that can't have been the best deal in the world for you?

Yea I was naive and rushed at the time as I wanted my own taxi as it's cheaper than renting a car off of the company!

The car was in good nick when I got it! And the plan was to run it into the ground whilst saving for a couple of years before I get another car!

There are cars younger than mine at work that are constantly in the garage having repairs done so it's just part and parcel of the job!!
